Onshape is a CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. it enables you to do 3d-design in the web and is fully cloud-based. you'll be tracking your time with it.
first, you need to create an account on onshape.com. then, you can start a new document and begin designing your prosthetic finger. you can use the getting started guide to learn how to use Onshape. tip: if you have a school email, you can get a free education account that gives you access to all the features of Onshape.
then, you need to make sure you are using a Chromium-based browser, like Chrome, Arc, or Brave. this is because the time-tracking extension that we use only supports Chromium-based browsers. once you have a Chromium-based browser, you can install the Onshape Time Tracker extension. this extension will track the time you spend in Onshape and send it to the Hack Club time tracker.
next, create an account on waka.hackclub.com. this is the older version of Hack Club's Hackatime. the Onshape extension only works with this version. once you've created an account, go to the top right corner of the dashboard and click on your profile picture. from there, you can view your API key. take your key and copy and paste it into the Onshape Time Tracker extension settings. this will allow the extension to send your time to your Hack Club account. you can test the extension by pressing the "send heartbeat" button.
finally, the last step is to periodically transfer your heartbeats from waka.hackclub to hackatime.hackclub.com. this can be done in the settings page of hackatime.hackclub.com. that's it! happy designing.
